As a light switch; ‘Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light , that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. (Genesis 1:3-5) It’s the first thing God made. It’s the most important thing to growth. The earth needs light to produce, we need light to see and being able to do things. But we also need Spiritual Light. This light as in the famous; ‘Light at the end of the tunnel’. That tunnel’s light is so bright, it’s the brightness of purity and grace! It’s God Himself glowing this bright Broadway! ‘That God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.’ (1 John 1:5-7) Light will expose lot’s of things, also the bad, but isn’t it wonderful Jesus covered them by His blood?
I like the Christmas lights at Christmas. It reminds me of the shining lights we are in Jesus! We are all together on this string, but if one is broken the rest go’s out too… Clearly we are stronger together. We can help each other in being these shining lights. ‘Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.’ (Isaiah 60:1) We need to stand up, walk the curves and follow that bright Light. Like following the star leading the three Wise-man to Jesus. Switching back and forth in our daily routines and finding the balance in following that light. For that we need to switch our Light on! ‘The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; but the Lord will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.(Isaiah 60:19) ‘The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.'(Numbers 6:24-26) Peace to you my friends in these times we remember the birth of our Savior!
