Have you ever sit down for a bit in a shopping mall or grocery store, just watching people? Isn’t it like a fast forwarded movie where you feel like being paused in? Who, of all these people are actually still laughing… Aren’t we all missing out in the joy of hope? Because we all have our troubles and circumstances. Behind closed doors, you don’t know what’s going on…
Maybe you’ve not yet chosen, which road to take. The wide, the narrow or you skip back and forth. We all feel lost at some point. You may feel like being ignored, neglected, or looked down at. Or perhaps you know people gossip about you, your so called ‘friends’. Maybe the fast phase life is running ahead of you and you can’t keep up anymore… Your life is not doing what you wanted it to look like. The strive to run a well recognized business keeping you stressed? Maybe your foolish choices got you in jail and even when your physical out, within you’re still in it. Your surroundings may not make you capable of the choices you want to make. Don’t we all often take roads others want us to take? Because, oh, what if I don’t look good and people will talk of me? People will always talk, if you do well or if you don’t. They might even do it straight to your face. One look or glaze says it all… Though what that one moment of pre-justice can do or destroy will influence the choices that we make. It may make us afraid, jealous or give us a proud feeling, the higher up kind. Or what if your homeless, to old or feeling to ugly…
Feeling lost is losing hope. Being lost makes you feel alone and when you are alone, you are most vulnerable. This is when Satan attacks…! You are in a very dangerous state. How he loves to see you destroyed and vulnerable; the more we give in the more he’ll take advantage… but wait! Don’t let him take the wheel, he’ll drive you on roads where you don’t want to be on, further and further. At some point you might going to like it, though doesn’t that deep inside voice tell you; get off, take the bus back?! Remember Jesus kept looking for that one lost sheep. That sheep could be you!! You think, well, I don’t fit in that fancy ‘save-haven’ church bench! I’ve done so wrong, I don’t fit with those people! But Jesus died for sinners, a faithful church go’er may look all fine and dandy to you; but he also is a sinner. We all are! We don’t have to measure up our sins to one another, we don’t have to judge each other. Why would we keep being busy with what someone else is doing or not doing? Aren’t we all going to stand before the Big Judge one day? Only His judgement counts. Then, don’t worry how someone else is making you feel being pushed in a corner. Endure the tests, show your faith by being un-fearful; He’ll stand right beside you! Be patient, most people who make you feel uncomfortable have big problems themselves, so it’s easier for them to bully someone else, it will take the attention away from them otherwise they’ll be in that corner… Pray for those people, for you are not the only one in need of help. How easy it is to point out bad things about others, just to cover up your own.
Have you ever found yourself standing with your hands in your hair, thinking; ‘What am I doing it all for?!’ Your kids are not listening, your house is a disaster, your behind a week in laundry, the folded cloths in the basket from the week before are almost all taken out already before they’ve bin put in the closet. You so need to get grocery’s and your behind in accounting, employee’s come and go; even when you did everything to make them happy. Your husband seems to live in his own world and you can’t seem to get over your weak immune system. When the day is over and you are so tired and full of anxiety, trying to mentally prepare how to start tomorrows day positive. But you can’t seem to fall asleep because your head is full of problems your trying to give a spot. It is this time you need to call out for help, help from God… But you don’t… being stuck in your downhill spiral, you don’t give Him the chance to help you… I don’t think I’m the only one that had this problem… From the outside it may look fine, though from the inside your screaming; it’s eating you alive!
It takes a lot to give up self-serve. The patience God has with us through these tests can also build up our patience. Though it can be two different types of patience. God holds back and waits for our call for help, while we hold back and ask for help… This waiting game can be quite draining… Now there are times we do ask for His help, but don’t get it. At least, that’s what it seems like. When we ask for help, we want it all and probably right away. Though God’s way’s provide us with positive patience, that’s building over time. He has a way of getting us through things in His own phase, preparing us for things yet unknown. Remember, God doesn’t let things happen to us more then we can carry… And doesn’t Jesus tell us; ‘Come to Me, all you who are heavy laden’? Well then, with Jesus leading your heavy life-filled heart, you will get through, no matter what! He already did carry our burdens, walking the curved roads, carrying a wooden cross UP a hill and giving, freely giving His sinless life, for us… How heavy that had bin! Then what are we complaining about?!
You will be thankful for choosing that curve of life. And appreciate the different points of view. That there are also times your kids do listen, that your house doesn’t always needs to be tidy and need. That at least your cloths got washed. That there still is food on the table. That the bills get paid and that you also have good employee’s who don’t let you down. That you’d thought that your husband seemed to live his own life, only because you’d put him there… That your immune system can be better only by thinking positive already. Now these are a lot of curves where I’ve learned from, since this road might still be narrow, it could have bin one without all the curves… the narrow road to Christ, our hope can be straight, it’s the choices we make that bend it!!
